Ostomy
Research on ostomy care in South Asian populations has largely focused on quality of life and stoma self-care practices. Studies highlight challenges related to body image, lifestyle changes, stigma, and emotional wellbeing following ostomy surgery. Further research is needed to evaluate nutrition, dietary patterns, and the role of cultural foods in ostomy management among South Asian populations.
